Since joining the Aerospace industry in 2011 I have found a “calling”, if you will, to something I originally had minimal interest in. It’s always a funny thing what you have in mind for yourself vs what life has in mind.
Starting as a CNC machine operator I worked my way into becoming a setup technician. From there I went on to a managerial role. Still feeling “incomplete”, I worked my way into the quality department taking on positions of inspector, CMM operator, Quality Engineer and CMM programmer.
I wanted to expand and advance my skillsets further still, so I moved on to CNC programming and design work.
I soon felt there was even more I could give to my employers. I went on again to a managerial position to take ownership of multiple programs across 5 customers, 250+ unique part numbers, being responsible for $40M/year in sales.
I pride myself in what may be deemed an “old school” approach of working my way, every step of the way, from the ground up.
To always strive to be the exception to the law of 3 (Quality/Timely/Affordable) through personal ownership and accountability.
